I have been looking forward to doing these pictures for months! This family is a special one to me because the littlest gal was one of my doula babies. She came roaring into the world just a few minutes after we got to the hospital. Doing this family session reaffirmed for me how she was the perfect piece to this adorable family puzzle. The boys are doing great in their roles as big brothers. They handle their sister with such love and care. I could seriously adopt all these kids and love them like my own!
I loved this session so much! It was gray and dreary all day and I was worried we might need to reschedule if the sky opened up, but surprisingly, the sun came out and it ended up being a gorgeous day. I rarely do pictures in this particular park because I photograph so many children and they are often enthralled by the ducks, the lake, all the people and animals and fun things going by, so I was happy to have a chance to spend time there with adults (who luckily, were not as easily distracted). It was hot and she was in heels, but she didn’t blink when I suggested climbing on the rocks to get some of these images. I love what we ended up with!
I’ve been shooting this family for years, since before their middle son was born. We became fast friends and so our shoots end up feeling like big, fun hang-out sessions. I brought my kiddos along for this shoot and we all spent a couple of hours together in downtown Belmont, exploring all of the nooks and crannies. They wanted more of an urban and punk rock feel for this session and we had a blast!
This session was so much fun! The parents were celebrating their ten years of wedding bliss, so we wanted to make sure to get lots of “couple shots” as well! The little ones had so much fun exploring the gardens and I got a good workout trying to keep up with them 😉
