  • Welcome!

I'm Lora, mom to two crazy kiddos and lover of photography and all things birthy. My photography style is light and natural. I try to mix formal portraiture with candids and lifestyle to create a true picture of where your family is at right at this moment. I know that moments are fleeting and that the time we spend together will be spent capturing photos that I hope you can look back on with joy for years to come.

The Birth of O

I attended this birth more as a friend than as a photographer. This mama is especially important to me; I consider her one of my closest friends. She had been waiting for the arrival of Baby O for weeks, as labor had several times started and then stopped. Early on the morning of his birth, her water broke and then things moved pretty quickly after that. He was born in the bathtub and was quickly scooped up lovingly by his mama, who has more strength and determination in her than she lets on. It is a priviledge to know her and to have been there for O’s birth. He is such a loved little guy, I am hoping to cover him with Auntie Lora kisses soon!

The M Family

I had a fantastic time hanging out with the M family. Mama had some great ideas and even though it took a lot of work, we got some awesome smiles out of the little man! The last shot of the night was the hardest to get, it involved lots of driving, lots of u-turns, a very tired little boy, carrying a heavy chair through a field and about 2 minutes of actual picture taking before the sun went all the way down. It was well worth it though, we got the shot that mom wanted!

The D Family

The D family has been close to my heart for a few years now. I got to meet them when they were newly pregnant with their second son and was lucky enough to attend his birth several months later. There is nothing like seeing a new life enter the world and watching a family expand. After that, I think I’ve seen them every 3-6 months to document the boys growing up. A new baby is on the way and I can’t wait to meet him/her very soon!

Baby R’s Newborn Session

When Baby R was born, I was right there on the bed, watching as she emerged into the world. A week later, I got to go back to her house and cuddle on her while doing her newborn pics. I had done her big brother’s newborn pictures just two years earlier and somehow that passage of time seemed ridiculously short. She slept like a champ while big brother ran in and out to visit and chat. She’s so beautiful and I felt so honored to be there for these important moments of her life.

A turns 1!

I have known A’s mom since we were 12 years old; I met her at the bus stop when I started junior high. Its amazing how someone can manage to look the exact same so many years later (and no, I’m not telling you how many years!). She’s still as beautiful now as she was then. It was an honor to capture a few hours of her snuggling with her adorable son. He LOVED the camera and the camera loved him back! Happy Birthday, little man 🙂
